If the girl likes your beard for the right reasons, she won’t care how typical it is. Ask box me if you disagree.

Besides, it’s when you’re actually having coffee that you want to be non-typical. If you can’t be non-typical at coffee, find something that shows how atypically cool you are and suggest that.

It’s also unassuming enough that if she was just innocently commenting on your beard without the assumed subtext of interest and/or attraction, it’s not going to hurt any feelings or put said shawty into any  kind of intimidation reflex. Okay, so coffee is a bit cliche, but you can easily substitute “the back of my camaro” or whatever fits your idiom. Just don’t be surprised when said hottie reacts differently to “over the back of my car” than she would “over coffee” or “over brunch” or whatever.
